Deadlock Ranked Season 1 Rewards | End Date & Season Reset 2026

Deadlock's first season under the new Ranked system is approaching its end.

Beta Season 1 ends on October 7, 2026, giving players a limited amount of time to push their highest rank before the seasonal record is finalized.

But what actually happens when the season ends?

    Do you keep your rank?

    Does your rank reset?

    What reward do you receive?

And does your highest rank remain visible after the season?

This guide explains everything currently known about Deadlock Ranked Season 1 rewards, the season end date, rank history and the seasonal reset.

Important: Valve's current Ranked system documentation confirms a commemorative seasonal item and permanent recording of your highest rank. It does not currently list a separate skin, currency reward or rank-specific loot table for Season 1.

    ---

When Does Deadlock Ranked Season 1 End?

Deadlock Beta Season 1 ends on October 7, 2026.

The season began on July 30, 2026, when Valve introduced the current separate Standard and Ranked modes.

That makes the first Ranked season a relatively short competitive period compared with traditional long-form competitive seasons.

The end date is important because your highest rank achieved during the season is used for your seasonal record.

    ---

What Are the Deadlock Season 1 Rewards?

The confirmed seasonal reward is a commemorative Hideout item.

Valve's Ranked system states that players will have an item in the Hideout commemorating their season's highest rank once the season is over.

Your highest rank achieved during the season is also recorded in your Rank history.

This means the reward system is currently focused on preserving your seasonal achievement rather than providing a traditional collection of rank-based cosmetic rewards.

    ---

Does Your Highest Deadlock Rank Get Saved?

    Yes.

Your highest rank achieved during the season is recorded in your Ranked history.

    For example, imagine you reach:

    Oracle VI

    but later fall to:

    Oracle III

Your seasonal achievement is still based on the highest rank you reached.

The purpose of the seasonal record is to preserve your peak achievement rather than only showing the rank you happened to have when the season ended.

    ---

What Happens to Your Rank When Season 1 Ends?

Deadlock uses a soft reset between Ranked seasons.

The July 30 Ranked system explains that players entering a new season receive a soft reset while retaining some history of their previous performance relative to other players.

This means the next season does not simply treat every player as if they had never played Ranked.

Your previous performance can still be used to help seed your initial games.

    ---

    Will Everyone Start From Initiate?

    No.

A seasonal reset should not be confused with deleting your Ranked history or putting every player at the same skill level.

The new season uses a calibration process to establish your new seasonal rank.

Players go through 8 calibration games.

    Calibration is played solo.

You cannot queue with a party during these placement/calibration matches.

    ---

What Is the Maximum Rank During Calibration?

The current Ranked system limits the maximum rank that can be assigned when exiting calibration to:

    Oracle VI

This means players cannot immediately place above Oracle VI after calibration.

Higher ranks must be reached through subsequent Ranked progression.

This creates a progression path through the upper ladder rather than allowing calibration alone to immediately place players into the very top ranks.

    ---

Do You Lose Your Seasonal Rank History?

    No.

The Ranked Hub contains information about current and past Ranked seasons, including your Rank history.

This is important because your previous seasonal achievements remain part of your competitive history.

The seasonal system is therefore not simply:

    Season ends → everything disappears.

Instead, your previous highest achievement is preserved.

    ---

What Is the Deadlock Ranked Hub?

The Ranked Hub is the central place for your competitive information.

    It provides access to:

    • Current rank information
    • Previous season information
    • Rank history
    • Global leaderboards
    • Ranked progression

The system was introduced alongside the new Ranked mode in July 2026.

After the season ends, the seasonal information can therefore be referenced through your Ranked history.

    ---

    Deadlock Season 1 Rank Ladder

The current Deadlock Ranked system contains 11 named ranks.

    From lowest to highest:

    1. Initiate

    2. Seeker

    3. Acolyte

    4. Sentinel

    5. Mystic

    6. Ritualist

    7. Emissary

    8. Oracle

    9. Phantom

    10. Ascendant

    11. Eternus

    Each rank contains six subranks:

    I → II → III → IV → V → VI

Obscurus is the uncalibrated state rather than a normal ranked tier.

    ---

Which Rank Should You Aim for Before Season 1 Ends?

The answer depends on your current position and how much time you have available.

The important thing about the seasonal system is that your highest achieved rank matters for the seasonal record.

    For example:

    Current Rank: Mystic

A reasonable seasonal objective could be reaching Ritualist or Emissary.

    Current Rank: Emissary

You may want to push toward Oracle.

    Current Rank: Oracle

You can continue working toward Phantom and above.

    Current Rank: Phantom

The remaining progression becomes increasingly competitive because the population becomes much smaller at the top of the ladder.

The important point is that reaching a new personal peak during the season is still meaningful even if you later fall back.

    ---

    How Deadlock Rank Points Work

Rank Points are the visible progression system in the current Ranked mode.

The original July 30 system started around 250 Rank Points per match, with adjustments based on matchmaking quality and win streaks.

An August 2 update increased the standard amount by 20% from 250 to 300 points, while also increasing the maximum five-win-streak bonus from +75 to +90.

    A normal subrank requires approximately:

    1,000 Rank Points

The final subrank before moving into a new named rank requires approximately:

    2,000 Rank Points

The top Eternus population is handled differently because progression there is percentile-based.

    ---

Should You Stop Playing After Reaching Your Goal?

    Not necessarily.

Because the seasonal reward is based around your highest achievement, reaching a target rank does not mean you need to protect your exact current badge from every future loss.

However, additional games can still be useful if your objective is to push your peak higher.

    For example:

Oracle III → Oracle VI → Phantom

would give you a higher seasonal peak than stopping at Oracle III.

If you are already satisfied with your highest seasonal achievement, the decision to continue playing becomes a personal choice.

    ---

How to Prepare for the End of Season 1

If you're trying to improve your highest seasonal rank before October 7, focus on consistency rather than simply playing as many games as possible.

    1. Use a Small Hero Pool

    Stick to heroes you understand.

A focused pool of around 3–5 heroes can give you much more consistency than constantly switching characters.

Our Deadlock Best Heroes for Ranked guide covers current meta picks and hero-pool strategy.

    2. Practice in Standard

Standard mode does not affect your Ranked progression.

It is useful for practicing unfamiliar heroes, testing builds and improving mechanics without risking your Ranked position.

    3. Understand Your Matchmaking

Your visible Rank Points are not the entire matchmaking system.

There is additional matchmaking information behind the visible progression.

Our Deadlock MMR Explained guide explains the relationship between matchmaking and visible Ranked progression.

    4. Avoid Unnecessary Tilt

The final weeks of a season can encourage players to play too many games simply because they want to reach another tier.

If your decision-making starts getting worse, taking a break can be more useful than continuing to queue.

    5. Track Your Peak Rank

Keep an eye on your highest seasonal achievement.

The objective is not necessarily to have your highest badge at every moment.

It is to establish your highest point before the season concludes.

    ---

What Happens After October 7, 2026?

The current Beta Season 1 ends on October 7.

After the season concludes, the Ranked system moves into its next seasonal cycle.

The current system indicates that players receive a soft reset and go through a new calibration process.

Your previous performance history remains relevant to the new calibration rather than being completely erased.

The exact details of future seasons can change, so players should check the in-game Ranked Hub when the next season begins.

    ---

Deadlock Season 1 Rewards vs Traditional Ranked Rewards

Deadlock's current seasonal reward structure is different from games that provide a large reward table for every rank.

At present, the confirmed reward is centered around:

    • Your highest seasonal rank
    • Permanent Rank history
    • A commemorative Hideout item

Valve has not published a confirmed Season 1 reward table containing separate cosmetic or currency rewards for Initiate, Seeker, Acolyte, Sentinel, Mystic, Ritualist, Emissary, Oracle, Phantom, Ascendant and Eternus.

That means websites claiming specific skins, amounts of currency or other rank-specific rewards should be treated carefully unless those rewards are confirmed by Valve.

    ---

Does Eternus Get a Different Reward?

The current documented system does not provide a separate confirmed Eternus reward table.

Eternus is the highest named rank, but the confirmed seasonal system is based on recording your highest rank and providing a commemorative seasonal item.

If Valve introduces additional Eternus-specific rewards later, those details can be added when officially confirmed.

    ---

Does Your Rank Reset to Obscurus?

Obscurus is used for the uncalibrated state.

It should not be interpreted as your permanent post-season rank.

When the next season begins, players go through the seasonal calibration process.

The new rank is then established based on the calibration system and previous performance history.

    Final Thoughts

Deadlock's first Ranked season is an important milestone because it establishes the foundation for the game's new competitive progression system.

Beta Season 1 ends October 7, 2026, and the most important thing to remember is that your highest achievement is preserved.

You receive a commemorative Hideout item, your highest rank is recorded in Rank history, and the next season uses a soft-reset and calibration system rather than completely starting everyone from scratch.

If you're still climbing, there is time to establish a new personal peak.

Focus on a small hero pool, consistent farming, objective control and good decision-making rather than simply trying to play as many games as possible.

And remember: reaching a new rank once is enough for it to become part of your seasonal record.
