How Account Security Works During a RankForge Boost: Full Process Breakdown

What actually happens to your account during a RankForge boost — VPN, offline mode, manual play, and credential deletion explained step by step.

One of the most common pre-purchase questions we receive is: what exactly happens to my account during a boost? This article documents the complete RankForge security process — not as marketing language, but as a step-by-step technical breakdown of what is enforced on every order, across every supported game.

Step 1: Booster Assignment and Credential Handling

When your order is confirmed, RankForge assigns a verified booster from the pool matching your game and server region. Your login credentials are transmitted through the order system — they are never shared in plaintext through unencrypted channels like Discord DMs or email.

Credentials are accessible to the assigned booster only for the duration of the active order. No other team members or support staff can view them. This access is revoked automatically when the order closes.

Step 2: VPN Connection Before Login

Before the booster logs into your account, they connect through a VPN server located in the same geographic region as your account. This is not optional — it is enforced for every session. The reason: Riot, Valve, and other publishers use IP geolocation as one input to their account security monitoring. A login from a geographically mismatched IP is one of the clearest signals of unusual account activity.

At RankForge, the VPN region is matched to the server your account is registered on — NA accounts connect through North American VPN endpoints, EUW accounts through Western European endpoints, and so on. Boosters do not log in from their home IP without VPN active.

Step 3: Offline or Invisible Mode

After login but before entering any game client menu, the booster sets your account to offline or invisible status. This prevents your friends list, clan members, or other contacts from seeing that your account is active.

Visible activity during a boost — especially at unusual hours or with champion/agent pools that don't match your historical patterns — creates social detection risk. A friend noticing you're online at 4 AM playing supports when you always play mid is a common source of account reports. Offline mode eliminates this vector entirely.

    Step 4: Manual Gameplay Only

Every game played during a RankForge boost is manual — played by a human booster, with a standard keyboard and mouse, with no input injection, no aim assistance, no macro scripting, and no third-party overlay or automation. RankForge does not allow boosters to use any form of gameplay automation, and boosters who violate this policy are permanently removed.

Manual gameplay is important for two reasons. First, game publishers' anti-cheat systems can detect input patterns that deviate from human norms — automation produces signatures that manual play does not. Second, manual high-rank play produces a natural match history profile that doesn't create statistical outliers in your account's data.

Step 5: Session End and Log-Out Protocol

At the end of each session, the booster logs out of the game client before closing the VPN connection. This sequence matters: logging out first prevents any account activity from being attributed to the local IP after the VPN disconnects.

Progress is recorded in your dashboard after each session. You can review current rank and session history without logging into the game client yourself.

Step 6: Order Completion and Credential Deletion

When the target rank is reached and the order is marked complete:

    • The booster logs out permanently
    • Your credentials are deleted from all booster devices — not archived, not retained
    • The order dashboard marks the order as closed
    • Credential access is revoked in the RankForge system

You receive a completion notification and can immediately log back in on your own device. At this point, you may change your password and re-enable any two-factor authentication that was temporarily disabled for the order — both are standard post-order steps that add an additional security layer.

What Is NOT Involved in a RankForge Boost

    For clarity:

    • No bots or automation at any point during execution
    • No shared access beyond the assigned booster
    • No credential storage beyond the active order period
    • No play outside requested hours without prior coordination
    • No champion/agent usage outside your specified preferences

This process applies equally to LoL rank boosts, Valorant boosts, TFT rank boosts, CS2 boosts, and all other supported games. The protocol is not game-specific — it is the standard for every order on the platform.
